CultureSeed is a nonprofit organization in the Columbia Gorge region of the Pacific Northwest, the largest national scenic area in the United States, and a rural region with pronounced economic disparities. Carolina has been the director of CultureSeed since 2018, and co-director since 2022—helping shape identity through a place-based and collaborative approach, with a focus on organizational culture and coherence, capacity, systems, storytelling, and long-term strategy co-creating.
CultureSeed offers youth free and ongoing outdoor immersion and mental health. CultureSeed is part of the necessary puzzle of public investment, cooperation between sectors, and place-based collective work that increases well-being and economic stability of youth and the adults in their lives.
